Chad Srader was recently promoted to District Director for the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Srader recently took a promotion and transfer to Sam Houston Area Council, which covers an 18 county area surrounding its headquarters in Houston, Texas.

Srader comes from Three Rivers Council, located in Beaumont, Texas, where he ran Scouting Districts, Camps and Facilities. Srader brings seven years of professional Scouting experience, and more than 20 years of service as a youth and volunteer leader in Scouting. He is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society. Srader graduated from Lamar University with honors, majoring in Criminal Justice.

His service area is known as the Flaming Arrow District which covers Splendora, New Caney, Huffman, and Humble ISD school districts. In that area, he services over 80 Scouting Units, 2,400 youth and 1,500 adult leaders. Srader is also responsible for leading the fundraising efforts for the Boy Scouts - Flaming Arrow District.
