Little Grains of Peace Foundation

The Foundation gives the following report to the Humble Intercontinental Rotary Club.

 

INVESTMENT

Request to the Humble Intercontinental Rotary Club – Texas of a US$5,000 donation  :

Last May, 2012 3 projects were presented to the Humble Intercontinental Rotary Club consideration:

1 – Improvements to the Learning Center.

2 – Replacement of computers at the Foundation’s Computer Center.

3 -  New equipment and kitchen refurbishing of the Foundation’s Bread making facility, San Pancracio Club.

Donation of USD 5.000  - June 5 2012:

The project that HIRC approved was the Improvements to the Learning Center. A donation of USD5.000 was received, which converted to Colombian Pesos was equivalent to Col$8’932.879.

USAGE

 

Final Usage:

 

Money received was used for:

 

•Purchase of 4 desks and 4 ergonomic chairs for the Center’s personal.

•Repair of existing file cabinets (Purchase of new ones was considered, however repair of existing ones was most economical and was worthwhile).

•Purchase of two new air conditioners as per original request.

•Purchase of a new video projector, as per original request.

•Purchase of 9 new fans for the children dinning room.

The undersigned Auditor and Legal Representative we state:

1. Little Grains of Peace Foundation is a non-profit, non-common profit organization recognized as a legal entity by the Act No. 1 of the Associates Assembly, October 14, 2004 and registered at the Chamber of Commerce, November 22, 2004, in Book 1 as No. 7884, and amended by the Act No. 4 of April 3, 2006 Associates Assembly and registered in the Chamber of Commerce on April 12, 2006 under No. 10404 in Book 1 of the Register of nonprofit entities.

2. Little Grains of Peace Foundation pursues non-profit activities and its purpose is social: to promote, manage, administer, implement and carry out projects or activities aimed at improving the living conditions of the inhabitants of the disadvantaged areas of the city of Cartagena, and other areas of the Colombian territory.

3. This entity is subject to its surveillance operation to official Government of Bolivar.

4. That pursuant to the provisions of articles 356 to 364 of the Tax Code, the Little Grains of Peace Foundation is subject to special tax regime.

5. Little Grains of Peace Foundation, has served as a timely and uninterrupted with the obligation to submit Income and Assets Reports.

6. At Little Grains of Peace Foundation, all income received by donations in cash is deposited in financial institutions authorized and supervised by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia.

7. That all income of Little Grains of Peace Foundation is applied in the development of its corporate purpose within the national territory.

8. That this institution received a grant from ROTARY CLUB HUMBLE INTERCONTINENTAL on June 5, 2012, the sum of five thousand dollars (U.S. $ 5,000,00), equivalent to Eight Million Nine Hundred Thirty-two Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Nine Pesos {$ 8,932,879,00}. In money via wire transfer to the current account No. 057369995485 at Davivienda Bank.

9. That the aforementioned contribution was allocated to the development of the corporate purpose of the entity and especially for the benefit of under privileged children from the Rafael Nunez – Olaya Herrera Sector in the City of Cartagena at the Little Grains of peace Learning Center.

10. This certificate is issued at the city of Cartagena at the request and for the HUMBLE INTERCONTINENTAL ROTARY CLUB.

11. This certificate is issued under the terms of Articles 125 AND 125-4 of the Tax Code.
