Bill Beard, Texas Photos, Wednesday Program

Bill Beard has a slide show of Texas photos. He will say a few appropriate words about Texas in preparation for Texas Independence Day on March 1.

Bill is a native Texan, born and raised in Parker County, Texas. He attended High School in Weatherford, where he says his only claim to fame was being a classmate of the late Larry Hagman. Larry is of course better known as J. R. Ewing of the TV series “Dallas.”

Bill graduated from North Texas University and then spent 39 years with an oil company, working at various locations in the U. S. and Europe. He is now retired, and he and his wife have lived in Kingwood for the past 34 years.

Bill has been active in the Kingwood Photo Club, the Kingwood Toastmasters Club and the Texaco Retirees Club, having served as President of each of those organizations.

Bill enjoys Texas history and he and his wife, Rosemary like to travel around the state indulging in sight-seeing and in their hobby of photography.
